When I threw the 8-pound bowling ball
The view of room 452 Balcony
Today was the day I came back from Batam, Indonesia! I learnt some skills though, but I can't get it right most of the times, but it was really fun! Me and my family went there for 3 days. (except for my older sister, she still in Malaysia with my grandparents)
26th December 2008, Friday
6.30a.m. I was woken up by 2 alarm clocks, my sister's and the one beside my bed...I switched off my alarm clock but my sister was still sleeping like a log. My dad came in and switched off hers and asked me to continue to sleep, I could not go back to sleep so I rested =.=ll. I got up at 7.a.m in the end...
We set off at 8a.m. There was a light rain, luckily a taxi saw my dad waving at it, if not we might, I don't know =.=ll
9.20a.m. I was in a ferry called Jet Raider, waiting for it to go. Then I heard a loud honk(you know when a ship gonna depart, got the noise thing =P ) The ferry began to move, I just looked out the window as the ship moved, that's all.
My ferry arrived Batam(Waterfront)at 9.20a.m.(Batam time by the way, I followed Singapore timing in order not to get Jet Lag).
When my family and me was outside the ferry terminal, a van(for driving people either from ferry terminal to Harris Resort or Harris Resort to ferry terminal, can be car or bus or whatever) drove by and asked us to board it. It took less than 5 minute to get there, lucky its free or I get mad!
When we register, we straight away checked in. The room was 351. When we got in, I was impressed.
There was a TV(the TV channel was awesome, I could watch Disney channel, channel 8, channel U,but no okto sob, I watched Spider-man 3 too!), a king-sized bed, a closet(I could go in the closet,there was a safe box, there was light in there =D ), a sofa, there was another door too...(it was connected to another room). I looked at the air-con remote control, it was the same as the remote control I used when I was living in Chua Chu Kang.
There was a balcony too, when we walked to the balcony, my mother got mad because what we looked at was just grass! (my mum said she wanted a pool view, and yet the receptionists gave us a room with grass, and a pond) I looked down, I saw a bee flying, we ran inside and locked the balcony door.
My mum telephoned the receptionist and requested to change room, we changed our room to room 452 later on. After we changed our room, we went to the balcony, it was much bigger! And we can straight away look at the swimming pool...
We decided to go bowling, we went to the bowling alley. The person there told us to wear a shoe that will keep us from falling, it was real slippery when I tried to step at the side whereby we are suppose to throw the ball. We wore shoes and began choosing a ball. My sister chose a 6-pounds ball and I chose a 8-pounds ball. I began to throw the ball first...
When I 1st threw, my ball fell in to the drain...disappointed. Then I take the ball again, I threw and then............bomp! I knocked every bowl at once! ALL 10! I was so happy nia!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
My sister began to throw...but fell in to the drain, it happened for the first few rounds.
After bowling, we went swimming, my body was itchy so we went up the room, with a towel covered my body, it was cold too! We bathed and went down again, for dinner...
There was a buffet downstairs, by the pool, I had a big appetite, I was very full after I ate dinner. We went home to watch "小娘惹"
After those, we went to sleep, I could barely sleep...
27th December 2008, Saturday
I woke up about 8.30a.m.(Singapore time), I went to ate breakfast and came up to watch Doraemon...
After that, we went down and asked the person at the counter if we could play Archery. We followed him to somewhere near the seaside. I saw the archer boards there. Me and my sister began shooting. It was difficult at first, actually it was difficult all the time!
We went swimming afterwards(we intend to go fishing, but my sister wants to go to swim, and my mum thinks its dangerous to go, as need to walk on a big road), same thing happened, except I didn't feel itchy. And this time, we went to the Japanese Restaurant, IT WAS AWAS A DISASTER!
We began to order food, when my food is served, I began eating, it was delicious. Then my mum spotted a worm ON MY DISH! I was so lucky I did not eat that! Phew! That is not all though...I mistook a green chili as a small fish, I ate it, it was scorching nia! Hard to resist! (drank 2 cups of ice tea, did not work, I ate vegetable to clear the chili taste) I hate chili from now on. That was not all too! When a waiter served my dad's dinner, he accidentally pour some of the gravy away, he was lucky that we never complain to manager...
For that, we had one dish free, haha. We went up and gone to the bowling alley, we decided not to bowl as there is too much people, plus our arms are sore. We went to the table tennis there and watch people play(not really, we intend to go to the toilet), then they let us play table tennis while on their time. Me and my sister played.
After that, we went back to the resort. Same thing happened except no TV show to watch, but got Spiderman 3 movie. But at 11pm(Singapore time), there was a movie. I watched till 12.30pm and went to sleep.
28th December 2008, Sunday
The same thing happened!!! Ate breakfast, come back watch Doraemon and stuff. Then we went to a small fishing pond. We saw a cat under a pavilion(I dunno its a pavilion or a hut), his right eye has blood, it was disgusting...Then we saw a green log and balance on it. My dad and mum did better than us, they practice already when they are young.
We went bowling after that again. Then come back to the resort.
We rode on a bus to ferry terminal at 1.20pm(Batam time, Batam time is 1 hour before Singapore time, therefore, I gain 1 hour when I come to Batam and lose 1 hour when I go back to Singapore).
The ferry departed at 2.20pm(Batam) and arrived at 4.30pm(Singapore) and the trip took about 1 hour haha. I went to McDonald, come back home by taxi again. And reached home and now I am writing this. I had a very long trip, except it FEELS like it was short...I learnt 2 skills only also, if you want to go Batam, sure go to Harris Resort! =D
